My Boys

Here's a picture of my 3 sweet boys when we were camping.

Halloween Fun

Ryan (age 2) and Alex (age 8) have fun trick-or-treating as Buzz Lightyear and a Zombie. Halloween is my favorite holiday and my sister
and I love to dress up and we camp every year at Yogi Bear Campground.

Halloween Fun

I love cupcakes. Here are some I made for Halloween.

2 Liter Bottles

I had a booth at a craft fair last month. I made some really cool stuff, but silly me forgot to take pictures of it. I took 2 liter bottles, cleaned them and then filled them with cool stuff. You just cover the back where you made the slit with patterned paper and then decorate. People loved them. I had Pirate in a Bottle, Instant Princess and Bottle of Fun - these were the kid themed ones. Here is a picture of the ones I made for Alex's teacher and bus driver, they were Bottle of Relaxation. I put in pedicure stuff, some spa socks, a small wrapped candle and some truffles.

Made this folded shirt card for my father-in-laws birthday. I love these shirt folds. The other card is a flower one I made ages ago and just used. I think it was a class at a scrapbook store that is now out of business.

Memorial Day at Ft. Harrison State Park

What a pretty day. Alex and Ryan loved riding the ponies. Then all three of the boys played on the playground. This is a beautiful park.

Last week our yard was full of dandelions. Ryan hadn't played with them before and we had such fun blowing on them and watching the fuzz fly!

Turtle Cake

For mother's day, I needed a dessert to take to my sister-in-laws. I decided on turtle cake, even though I hadn't made it before. Everyone loved it, so here is the recipe:

1 German chocolate cake mix (+ eggs & oil called for on box)
1 package of caramels (14-15 oz)
1 can evaporated milk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
Caramel ice cream topping

Prepare the cake mix according to the box directions. Pour 1/2 of the batter into a greased and floured 9x13 cake pan. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes (or until toothpick inserted comes out clean). Melt caramels and evaporated milk over medium heat, about 10 minutes. Pour over warm cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans. Top with remaining batter and bake another 15-20 minutes until done. Let cool and drizzle with caramel ice cream topping. Enjoy!

Hi Everybody - Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I've been doing temp work at a really cool apartment community in Indy called Hunt Club. Hope all the moms had a great mother's day. I did. Here is a picture of the card I made for my mom. Also, a picture of the adorable cupcake placemats that I fell in love with at a craft show and my sons got for me.

Birthday Cards

Here are a couple of birthday cards I made for my niece and my brother-in-law. The cinnamon roll stamp is a set from Skipping Stones. They have some of the funniest sets.

This is the Easter card I made for my mom. Hard to see the colors but it is all purples and lavendar.

Had a wonderful, blessed Easter with the family. Here are some pics of the kids with the Easter Bunny. My toddler doesn't go to anyone but leapt into the bunny's arms and didn't want to let go. It was so cute. Also, there's a picture of him with one of the real bunnies that we got for the kids. This bunny is a girl but my 7-year old named her Junior.

Here's a little card I made for St. Patty's Day. Inside I put a pack of Extra spearmint gum with the sentiment, "You're EXTRA special."

I belong to a local MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) group and they are the greatest. Last week they had a guest speaker who was a certified laughter therapist - didn't even know there was such a thing. She was awesome. I've always know laughter is good for you, and luckily my family and I laugh a lot!!! I just didn't know how good for you it is. There are studies that suggest that laughing appears to be almost as beneficial as a workout in boosting the health of blood vessels. Laughter relaxes arteries and boosts blood flow. She said that laughter has also been shown to decrease belly fat - WOW! I've been doing this for ages, can't image how big my belly would be if I didn't laugh like I did. Wishing everyone a fun, happy, laughter filled day!

Happy late Valentine's Day! Here are a couple of cards I made. I also made these candy bottles. I took empty Fuze drink bottles, washed them thoroughly, decorated and filled them with candy. Everyone seemed to like them, but it did take a lot of candy to fill them up.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in so long. Sometimes life gets in the way of my crafty fun stuff. Here are some soccer cards I made for the coaches and a soccer graduation card for one of the boys on my husband's team. We play soccer year 'round. Who knows, maybe I'll get in shape and do it sometime in the near future.

Here is a cute card I made for my niece, Beth, who moved to Nebraska. We miss her, but she is an awesome young lady and will do great things.

I love stampingbella - don't you? Here are some of my bella and fella cards. I even found a store in Indiana that sells them, which is great because I'm bad about wanting my stamps right now - lol. The horse card was for my sister, she loves them. And the fishing card is for my niece and it is such a cool coincidence, her name is Stacey and the stamp is called Staceybella. Stacey takes my 80 year old mom fishing all the time and she is a marine biologist for the state (and basically fishes for a living).

THANKSGIVING 2018

This year has just flown by.  Thanksgiving was fun.  I made some adorable turkey candy favors and yummy treats.
